What is pissing me off at this stage is not that the console launches tomorrow or fears over shortages etc, it's the fact that 95% of the launch titles haven't even made it to review which is never a good sign.
I suspect we are going to see a lot of turkeys tomorrow.

That is idiotic, there are plenty of low power graphics solutions that blow the doors off Integrated garbage, Almost like saying I hope they use the least expensive cheapist solution they can find that uses no power. A computer is a tool and for you to say 97 % dont need a GPU is a lie. In that case they could be using G3s with rage 128's. More spin from the fan club of crapo graphics. What they should do is offer a option for those people who expect a modern computer to be just that.

Apple using the integrated GMA950 is a bunch of crap... They just went cheap, it has NOTHING to do with power savings. Even an old Radeon Mobility 9700 would be better. I can't understand why Apple chose to do this seeing how they don't support it with some of their own software (FCP, Motion). They should have at least offered an upgrade option or put the GPU option in the blackbook only or something.

I have always gamed on laptops - M17x, M11x, MBP, VAIO Z... list goes on and on. Add the Air to that list now. The 320M is a very capable chip and it can play many modern games at medium settings smoothly.
The way you describe laptop chipsets makes you sound like you've only ever tried laptop gaming with a GMA500 :p

Define Retina display. No, it's not +300 PPI. Well, it is if you are viewing it from 1 foot away like phones usually are. Computer screens are often viewed at 2 feet, making retina +150 PPI. This is what most people forget, the viewing distance!
Now:
13.3" 1440x900 = 128 PPI
11.6" 1366x768 = 135 PPI
Required for "retina":
13.3" 1680x1050 = 149 PPI (close enough)
11.6" 1600x900 = 158 PPI
Intel HD 3000 can drive 1280x800 internal simultaneously with up to 2560x1600 external monitor. And that is just in 13" MBP, I'm sure it can theoretically drive even more. "Retina" displays aren't that far off since the next step from 1440x900 and 1366x768 will be "retina".

I got the 3.1 update yesterday, and I was getting push notifications with badges and alerts but not sound or vibration. I am positive that my silent/ringer switch was set to allow sound.
This morning I got the new 3.1.1 update. Immediately, I noticed that I started getting sound alerts and vibration in addition to the badges and alerts. Yay!

Just looking at the ''Server Admin' screenshots posted, i noticed that in the list of Services, both AFP and NFS are missing. Is File Sharing managed somewhere else in Lion?
This seems to be all i can find and its in the server app.
I did think i saw something in server admin but after checking it again i seem to be wrong.

While I wish the AppleTV supported DLNA, that's not really directly comparable to AirPlay, is it? DLNA seems to be a "pull" protocol and it seems to be more closely comparable to iTunes Home Sharing.
AirPlay is more of a "push" protocol.

A little off topic, but question for those who need Office software, and also run Parallels/Fusion: Do you prefer Office For Mac, or do you prefer to run "regular" Office in Parallels/Fusion? Thanks.
I use Office enjoy ribbon the most. That said I do use Keynote for presentations rather than PowerPoint. Use Fusion for Visio :) and MS Project Manager :rolleyes: exclusivelly maybe one day they will be ported over in Office 2013. :cool:

If you want just the email account then yes, .Mac is not worth it. That's the point. .Mac is more than email, and if you want an email address, get Gmail and hook it up into Mail.app....

You don't want to pay less, no? :rolleyes: The more complaining and bad feedback we give Apple that this service is simply too expensive the better, and the better chance we have they will begin to pay attention to loads (http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=.Mac%20too%20expensive&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8) of posts/blogs/and stories on this. I feel sick when I have to tell someone how much it costs. I mean they say .Mac syncing is included! You have to pay to sync computers that you payed money for, and worse still you have to give it to the company you bought the computers from?? Give me a break! GMail is free too. iWeb provides little bandwidth, and the whole this is wrapped-up with a tiny storage package. And I don't think the solution is for Apple to give us more storage. Interesting to note that a typical Christmas number 1 would sell 200-250,000 copies. So this hype has helped shift another 200,000 copies of the X-factor song. Even when they lose, they win.
ALEXANDRA BURKE, JLS and LEONA LEWIS have all come from X Factor and sold millions.
What about the other saps who have won these 'talent' contests, used by the industry then disappeared into obscurity? Steve Brookstein anyone?
