So, I picked one up the other day. Trying to find the "sweet spot" is really annoying. I'm assuming your supposed to keep adjusting the 3DS and your head until you don't see two images anymore, and that's the so-called sweet spot?
Honestly, I don't really see that much of a difference. There's a little more depth to with 3D effect (but it's not in your face like a 3D ride at Disney World or like Avatar where stuff was floating in the air). The AR games are neat except they require a cardboard card (Really Nintendo? Wasn't this idea a huge failure with Animal Crossing e-Reader on the GameCube?)
Pilotwings is also pretty terrible. I can't wait for the Virtual Console to launch. I'm glad Super Mario Land will be a launch title. Hopefully, Nintendo will iron out the 3DS kinks in time.

Here's my idea:
Hook up that chip, and then just keep overclocking the thing... you don't have to worry about it overheating and melting, it'll just give you more battery life.
It could go infinitely fast for infinitely long!
There's probably something in there about conduction and efficiency and stuff, but I'll leave that to the engineers

The person who asked you how much ram you meant was referring to your video card ram not your system ram. I think that that GPU only has 128MBs of VRAM but am not 100% sure off the top of my head. but it is an older GPU you will probably have no problems running it on low but don't expect to run it on anything higher if your lucky you might be able to run at med settings depending on what res you run at. VRam is not as important as most people think it is. The processing power of the GPU itself is much more important.
Ya its the 128MB model. I mentioned that in my first post. And I totally agree with you on the processing power being most important. I know that X1600 chipset was already a couple years old in 2007 when my MBP was new, so by now I figure its pretty close to being on the edge.
Also, for those of you who got your beta key from Blizzard, how did they send it to you?

Apple hasn't dipped its toe in the ruggedized computer business, has it? That's bound to be one aspect of army interest.
But perhaps computing devices that survive going to school with students should already be considered ruggedized.
The Army is already using iPod Touches in the field. Put one in an Otterbox case and it's ruggedized.

If being a real man equals only being able to ride slowly in a straight line and have a "pay attention to me" exhaust, then yes. (This also applies to sportbike riders in long beach, ca)
Otherwise, real men ride Triumphs. :cool:
My exhaust is a Screaming Eagle model, it's not "pay attention to me" at all. Harley stock exhausts aren't loud. A loud harley has aftermarket pipes or someone just unbolted the baffles.
And the dyna chassis is made for twisties just fine, but what's the point, a Harley is mostly to cruise or tour, why wouldn't I want to go slowly in a straight line ? What's the rush ? The fun is riding, not getting to a particular destination.
Of course the "real men" comment wasn't too bright, but your bashing of Harley-Davidsons is quite stereotypical and ignorant.

it's a rare moment that someone is awake through surgery. usually, i understand, it's a result of a specific patient's reaction to anesthesia, not the administration of it.
of course, that didn't stop me from expressing my fears, the last time I was under :) the anesthesiologist was very thorough, he has clearly answered that question a lot.

10.4.7 is a total crap.
It caused kernel panic in my computer and made it behave totally erratic. I had to uninstall back to 10.4.6
I hope the new upgrade will solve many issues that were created by 10.4.7:mad:

all that is is a demonstration of how the graphics engine treats objects in OS X. its basically showing the layers and different renderings of the screen...they throw the dock in, then quicktime, the quicktime window, then the movie itself inside the window. its just a visual demonstration of the interface, its capabilities, and how it works.

If only they hadn't been such head cases when Steve-O first went to them with the iPhone idea. Just think how far ahead of the competition Apple would be with all those potential subscribers.
