Good luck guys. I ended up going to the gym instead of SCP this morning as I wasn't sure if I'd be there early enough.

Can you name a few more? I have only seen Sony support AAC on their PMP devices.
Moto Android phones play AAC iTunes music just fine too.
One of the reasons why I picked the phone I have now.
I have a large iTunes library that I have no desire to repurchase or convert to another format.
DoubleTwist syncs them over without any issues.
My thoughts exactly. Reeks of collusion and I could see lawsuits flying over this.
I would like to know how you came to that conclusion?
Vendors offer different pricing to retailers all the time.
I would be more worried if they were all priced the same. (Price fixing is a big no no in the eyes of the DOJ)

Because the hardware is in the CDMA phone on Verizon. The AT&T iphone 4 doesn't have the same chip. If the iphone 5 does, it's still up to apple and at&t to enable it.
Ah cool, didn't know that, thanks!

I'd pay the full MobileMe $99/year price if I could sync all of the DVD movies I ripped (which currently fill up the 2TB hard drive on my iMac) to use in this fashion.
I'm suuuuuure Apple would allow that!
EDITED to add: Yes, these are MY movies. Ripped them to stream to my AppleTV.

Just updatedNow having a problem with people hearing me. If i use speaker phone they can hear me just fine. I have done a voice memo, and it sounds like I'm being recorded at half volume. Anyone else having this problem
Just had my 16 GB iPhone 4 replaced for that same problem. Haven't upgraded yet (well I haven't even picked up the exchange unit from the store yet...)

I don't mind the looks of it. I have the iPhone 4 and after getting the iPad 2 feel like the 4 is too boxy. Love the curved sides of the iPad 2.
Wondering where the antenna is on this mock up. Is it the entire back? What is the outline around the side view? A clear covering? Or just artwork?

I looked, and I don't see what you see?
It's not in the main menus, but it is in the menu item menus on the right.

Dammit. I misread this article title as "Page 3 features" as in the Page 3 of Macrumors we had for April Fools.
You're not alone...you're the third one in this thread to mention it.

Awesome news. Anyone test this with the old Unibody Macbook/White Macbook ? Is everything now booting into 64-bit by default ?
That's what I've heard.

I can look at diagrams all day long, but unless I see it in action, I can't see it working without a ton of complications.

A late summer release could explain why Apple wasn't so worried about releasing a Verizon iPhone in Feb (Jan announce) because it meant they would at least have 6-7 months before a new iPhone came out.
Of course I do find it funny how people complain about a new iPhone coming out because they want the newest and latest but never a new Android.

FireFox already lets you drag tabs around-why not Safari?
And with phishing-a phishing filterl, like in IE7 would be good to have for .Mac users in Safari.
Mail already has a phishing filter you will see a pop-up that shows you the actual URL that you will be taken to.

What does it take to be an analyst now? Just some 20-sided dice and a few key/buzz word decisions to make?
These guys throw out hundreds of the wild-ass predictions each year and just through sheer probability, someone is right. But they always pat each other on the back in each other's blogs with stuff like "Wow, White really nailed that one didn't he".
I was just thinking the same thing... how do I become an Analyst so I can 'come back from a Chinese trade-show' and make wild-ass predictions? (This particular analyst has 11 whole years of experience!)

Better mathematical notation input
The exact opposite is why I shelled out the £35 for iWork, it can have the best mathematical notation support (far superiour to Word* and better than OpenOffice)
If you download LaTeXiT (http://ktd.club.fr/programmation/latexit_en.php) and have LaTeX installed on your system (see this post (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=2247154#post2247154) for how to install LaTeX) you can set up a shortcut in the preferences of LaTeXiT (say Command - /) so that you can automatically create an equation from LaTeX written in Pages (using the Services menu), because Pages is a Cocoa App.
*If you shell out $100 for MathType, Word is probably better than with just Equation Editor, I have never used it though.
EDIT 2:Reading this thread is great, I don't feel like the only person in the world to like Pages, I'm looking forward for an excuse to give Keynote a go as well.

i5 or i7 CPU combined with 512 GB of storage would be frickin' amazing. Throw in an anti-glare display and a backlit keyboard and I would just about roll over and die.
If they made a Macbook Air with i5 plus 512 GB of storage and a backlit keyboard... even I might buy it! :)

The biggest question I have is whether the dual Thunderbolt will support 2 external monitors.
Imagine a triple 27 inch setup! (Brain explodes at thought)
http://www.apple.com/imac/performance.html
And dont worry about a single drive or peripheral tying up the Thunderbolt port: You can daisy-chain as many as six devices plus a display. The 27-inch iMac includes a second Thunderbolt port for even more expansion possibilities. Connect up to six more devices or a display or two.
