Just had a general question. The 797 thats approved for any person, is that for a specific consulate? If we want to go for stamping to another consulate what do we do? Is that a lengthy procedure. Thanks friends.

I was in the RFE situation as well when I140 Premium (EB3) has been filed.
They asked tax returns of my company for last 2 years. The only thing I want to add to previuos posts, that your lawyer should hurry up with an answer - I remember that in my case i 72 hours to respond have been given. After receiving additional docs, they approved it in 1 or 2 days.

I disagree...I think our next steps should be letters/webfaxes/phone calls to senators and Congressmen/women.
The reason why the flower protest news gained some legs was because it was unique. Lets not over do things. Now that we have somewhat of the media coverage, especially in NY times & Washington Post, we should write letters to senators/congress and request assistance.

Guys --
I got 485 Card production order and welcome notice email yesterday . I am assuming that means I got PR . my company has filed for H1 -B extension last week itself . what will happen to that extension , do we need to revoke/withdraw that petition ?
has anyone being in this situation ?

Do not worry about your H1 extension, it will be denied automatically. Your plastic card should arrive by this weekend, have fun!

I have seen people talking about getting approvals with misdemeanors, but each case may be different. Murthy.com forums has a special section for people dealing with misdemeanor issues and have gone through the process, may be you will get some more tips about preparing for the interview there. My attorney asked for all prior H1 or L1 approval notices. I told him I don't have them. I only have my current H1 approval notice. I do have all visa stamps on my passport. He told me USCIS is very likely to ask for those.

the above scenario was if you were mnaintaing H1 status. if you are working using EAD then ofcourse your current status wont be H1 bur AOS hence you will send proof of that.
The idea is to show that you are here legally and if working prrof of that authorization thorough a visa or EAD.

For me, it would take at least 2-4 years to get GC as my PD is around OCT-06/EB2.
I sincerely would like to contribute at least $1000 to IV, when I receive my GC.

Dear All,
I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?
3. Can I get my FP done on the same day as my wife even though I did not receive my FP notice?
4. I have filed for I-485, EAD and AP, will we both receive an FP notice for all 3 applications or it is just one FP for all applications?
Please help us with your expertise. Thank you very much for all your time.

I did a bit more reasearch and found out that, I won't loose the EB3 priority date after the EB2 I-140 approval. I will have both options (EB3 & EB2) open. I will be able to use either of them depending upon what is current at that time.
