This is crazy DO these people really think this would work? Myself I know they are only thinking of themselves or their church or people who think like them. They can't possibly want everyone to have this law.

BISMARCK, N.D. � The North Dakota Secretary of State received a petition today supporting a state constitutional amendment that could allow anyone � including employers, landlords and medical providers � to refuse to follow any law based on their religious views. Supporters of the so-called �Religious Liberty Restoration Amendment� claim to have gathered enough signatures to place the proposed constitutional amendment on the North Dakota ballot in the next general election.

If passed, the amendment could allow people to refuse to comply with any law if they claim a religious exemption.

The following can be attributed to Robert Doody, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of the Dakotas:

�North Dakotans have a proud history of respecting their neighbors� right to live their lives according to what they believe, even if they do not share those beliefs. But this proposed amendment could lead people to refuse to follow virtually any law. It could allow people to argue that they have a right to abuse their children, refuse to hire people of different religious faiths or deny emergency health care.�

The following can be attributed to Daniel Mach, Director of the ACLU Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief:

�While all North Dakotans should be free to practice their faith, the proposed amendment goes too far. There are better ways to protect religious freedom without legalizing discrimination and undoing many long-standing laws that protect the public and ensure that everyone is treated fairly.�

I only had a few minutes this morning to look at this but I believe the main problem is your not calling the "mail" command. You have this line but it's not doing anything as it's just a variable...

$success = mail($webMaster, $emailSubject, $body, $headers);

If you just use this it should work...

mail($webMaster, $emailSubject, $body, $headers);

You may have other things to work out but this should send the email massage and you should be able to retrieve it at info@avenue19ni.com.

okay, i'm a dork for answering my own questions. but hey, maybe it can help someone else.

to access your Documents folder using http:

1. forget the Documents linking thing

2. but do everything else above

3. in /etc/httpd/users/.conf, make it like this (substitute your username, obviously):

Alias /~zim/ "/Users/zim/Documents"

I've never found the server healthy enough to watch until 48 hours later anyway. Pity they only put the MW'07 onto the ITS. Perhaps they'll do it with the '08 - so it can download in full and the be watched.

Hello there, (TL;DR at bottom)

I have a late 2008 model 13" Macbook, that I received as a present. I haven't upgraded it except by adding more RAM.
Currently it has: 4GB RAM, 2.1 GHz Dual Core Core 2, 120 GB HDD (the original one)
I am running Windows 7 off a bootcamp partition. I choose to run win7 because I don't like using OSX.

Recently, I've noticed slow downs in start up times, and on the few occasions I use OSX, I've had the rainbow beachball quite often. Therefore, I've decided to upgrade my HD.
I live in New Zealand, so the following prices in NZD, please think of the prices proportionally. (Say one HD is $100, and another is $200. Think of the first HD in USD, then just double that price for the price of the other HD in USD)

I can spend (at most) $350 NZD, but I want to base my decision of value, not of performance. These are my options:
- WD Scorpio Blue 500GB $102
- WD Scorpio Black 500GB $119
- Seagate Momentus XT 500GB $209
- OCZ Vertex 2 25nm 60GB $239
- Intel X25-M G2 80GB $288
- OCZ Vertex 2 34nm 90GB $339

I need help deciding on which HD. Most of the time I use the MB for web browsing. There is minimal storage required, as I mostly have word documents etc. Although, it would be nice to have extra storage, I most likely won't use it.

Another question I would like to ask regards to OS and using an SSD. I really like Windows 7 too much. Plus my PC runs Windows 7 and I like them to be compatible. However, If I get an SSD with low space, I'd probably have to use one OS only, and I could get used to OSX if I have to.
The problem is that OSX Leopard or SL does not support TRIM, so there's no way for me to clear out the junk in the SSD. Windows 7 supports this, but I'll have to install it using boot camp, and that would take up a considerable chunk of the SSD. I wonder if it is possible to install windows 7 on my MB without having to use Bootcamp? Is there a way to get the drivers required for the hardware on my MB, without bootcamp?

Also, I seem to have lost my installation disc for OSX that came with my MB. Is there a way for me to download a copy from Apple?

TLDR: I need a new HD for my MB. Is it possible for me to install Windows 7 on my MB without bootcamp? Is it possible to download a legit copy of OSX Leopard from Apple, since I lost the installation disc?

i would put down like 100-150. becouse of the hastle / possibility of having to pay for it to be fixed.

Unless the magic cracked iphone screen fairy is going to come around and fix this one night while you sleep, I'm guessing the possibility of having to pay to get the screen repaired is quite high.

Actually, a lot of companies are moving tech support and other back-office operations to India. A lot of the Indian techs will watch Friends and other American shows so they can keep a conversation up if a caller is chatty. They even make up fictitious lives in case somebody asks about their personal life.

It's actually not that different from when a lot of back-office operations were in Ireland.

I've been researching some of the OCZ PCI solutions (much cheaper of course) and I doubt I will be able to boot in Mac Pro with that card, is that true ?

Why would you think that? If you have the correct PCIe slot, it should allow you to boot from it. A quick email to their tech support might allow you know for sure.

HOWEVER! If you're thinking about the cheaper versions, look at their transfer speeds. Only PCI solutions which offer a clear speed enhancement over SATA 2 or 3 should be bought. Why waste a PCI slot if a SATA drive has the same performance (assuming you have more SATA slots available than PCI slots)?

I'm having this problem with my relatively new (3 months) iBook. After it's been woken from sleep mode, the keyboard won't work for a minute or so. It'll work if the iBook's been open during sleep mode and I wake it up using the keyboard, but if I wake it from being closed or I wake it with the mouse, the keyboard doesn't function for a short period of time. Help?

Some of that may be Paypal fees, but even then they can screw themselves. I knew they sucked, but that's pretty bad. They probably have to write that because if they just take the money they'd get into trouble, but they would have been better off just posting a link to the Red Cross.

Drag the .app to the trash. Don't use cleanmymac, appzapper, appcleaner or any crap like that.
