Lindsay surrenders for hit and run

Lindsay Lohan was formally arrested yesterday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, after a crash that happened in May.The actress gave herself up to be arrested when she went to the Beverly Hills Police Department with her lawyer. She was photographed and fingerprinted.The 21-year-old star left the police department with her lawyer later in the afternoon after being bailed for £15,000.Lindsay had crashed her Mercedes into a curb but she wasn't arrested at the time as she was being treated in hospital for minor injuries.She's scheduled to appear at the Beverly Hills Supreme Court on 24 August.
