Thanks for all your responses, I've tried some of your remadies and all is not looking good. Taking it to Apple tomorrow to get a quote but either way I think it is probably time to let go...
Cheers,

they have this service in the UK too but I can't for the life of me remember the number
it's free if they don't recognise the song but 50p if they do identify it
any single part of the song it works with, it's scary

Lol that's what I ment... I'm a drummer so NAMM just came out accidentally.
Of course I don't expect any news from you guys, just a better video and highlights from Apple rather then the bloggers there (no offense to bloggers thanks for getting the info up).
I want it day 1 mainly to learn it as fast as possible and see how FCX 64bit works on my Mac Pro, since I have been limited to Adobe and handbreak at the moment. I understand why people will wait, let's hope there's not many bugs to fix.
I understand not wanting competitors to see the product. I don't need the whole write up just a bit more of what's to come. The release is so close and I'm sure adobe and avid saw plenty of FCX so a little teaser trailer would be cool. I'm just excited to see how this program will work, it should be interesting. Let's hope it rocks!

FYI, unless you're planning on doing heavy-duty gaming (Halo, Quake 4, Doom 3 or the like), I'd stick to a passively-cooled graphics card; the fan noise will be pretty obnoxious, especially if you get an ATI 9800.
Also, think carefully about using that machine as a daily computer--they idleat well over 100W; leaving one of those on regularly will noticeably increase your power bill (unless you have free utilities :) ) Be aware that things like Netflix streamiing will never work on a PowerPC Mac.
With all that said, I'm glad you're enjoying your "new" toy! I loved my dual G5, and if it were still practical to have it, I would

Without looking at the code, the error message should tell you what's wrong. I've hilited the significant part in bold:
2011-04-10 22:49:45.657 ForoTest[219:207] -[UIViewController showNextView]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4b38630
2011-04-10 22:49:45.735 ForoTest[219:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[UIViewController showNextView]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4b38630'
It's sending a showNextView message to a UIViewController instance.
Your first post said the method was in your app delegate, not a UIViewController, so check your source first. When I look at the source, I see showNextView in ForoTestViewController, not the app delegate like you said.
I also advise you to check your classes in the nib, to make sure a ForoTestViewController is being instantiated.
It's unclear how you made the non-working Xcode 4 project. If you started with the known-working project, then you probably just broke a connection or misconnected something. If you recreated it entirely from scratch, then there's no easy way of knowing what mistakes you might have made. I'm pretty sure Xcode 4 can open Xcode 3 projects, so I don't know why you'd want to start over.

It could mean that, or it could mean they just haven't updated the graphite versions of the buttons/loading bars/etc yet. I would love to see them offer more color options, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being just blue and graphite again. :o
I think this is the most likely explanation. They changed a lot of the interface elements and it's pretty reasonable to assume that they just haven't updated the graphite versions.

Does this mean you can still hook up a PS3 to a 2011 iMac?

Convert Windows Outlook mail to Mail.app

Help them on their way by getting their mail out of the proprietary .pst format and into standards based mbox format. The process sucks a little bit, but it does work if you have both machines on the same network.

Ok, so I decided to buy SL 10.6 and a new HDD, but does anyone know if I have to first setup the new drive with the original disks 10.5 that came with the uMB, or can I just use SL 10.6? I also have the application disk with iLife 09 which I know I can instal after the OS.
When Apple sells SL do they include any other drivers and software so that I can just install using the SL disk?
Trying to make sure I am clear in what I am stating only because I do not want to have to load the original discs.

Will I be able to put the retail version on a flash drive? Because my dvd drive is pretty much busted.
Yes, I did the same for my flatmate's 1st gen MacBook whose drive is also bust.
Would it be possible just to clone my Macbook 6,1 HDD and restore it to the HDD on the 1,1?
I'm not sure if this can be done without any problems.
