Rihanna's 'Man Down' video pisses off parents

The Parents Television Council is lashing out at Rihanna over her new music video for "Man Down" and Rihanna is telling the Parents Television Council to shut the hell up about it.

The issues is over the "message" RiRi's video sends as it deals with murder and rape. TMZ reports the parents group is outraged over her display of a "cold, calculated execution of murder" as a form of justice.

But do they really have a right to get all pissy over something that clearly isn't even meant for children anyway?

The singer defends herself on Twitter writing, “I’m a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wantin me to be a parent? I’m just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!”

Adding, “Cuz we all know how difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone especially our parents!”

Followed by, “And this is why!Cuz we turn the other cheek! U can’t hide your kids from society,or they’ll never learn how to adapt! This is the REAL WORLD!”

And finally (although I’m sure this is not the last of it), “The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they dont turn out like US.”

Parents TV Council will blame and complain about everyone and everything.

I really don't see how her video is any worse than Criminal Minds which children may be exposed to on TV a hundred times a day... and no one is spazzing out over that. Rihanna is playing a character but the situation is very real. The entire world shouldn't have to be sheltered from a music video in case someone's child accidentally stumbles upon it, come on. Any rational adult will watch the video, take it for what it is, and still realize right from wrong. If a kid sees it, not her problem.

It’s not like she debuted it on Sesame Street
