The Parents Television Council is lashing out at Rihanna over her new music video for "Man Down" and Rihanna is telling the Parents Television Council to shut the hell up about it.
The issues is over the "message" RiRi's video sends as it deals with murder and rape. TMZ reports the parents group is outraged over her display of a "cold, calculated execution of murder" as a form of justice.
But do they really have a right to get all pissy over something that clearly isn't even meant for children anyway?
The singer defends herself on Twitter writing, “I’m a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wantin me to be a parent? I’m just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!”
Adding, “Cuz we all know how difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone especially our parents!”
Followed by, “And this is why!Cuz we turn the other cheek! U can’t hide your kids from society,or they’ll never learn how to adapt! This is the REAL WORLD!”
And finally (although I’m sure this is not the last of it), “The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they dont turn out like US.”
Parents TV Council will blame and complain about everyone and everything.
I really don't see how her video is any worse than Criminal Minds which children may be exposed to on TV a hundred times a day... and no one is spazzing out over that. Rihanna is playing a character but the situation is very real. The entire world shouldn't have to be sheltered from a music video in case someone's child accidentally stumbles upon it, come on. Any rational adult will watch the video, take it for what it is, and still realize right from wrong. If a kid sees it, not her problem.
It’s not like she debuted it on Sesame Street…

Clearly they've been watching too much of The Simpsons...
It could be worse though... Krusty The Clown hair...
Not hot.

Grammy noms
The nominations for the 52nd annual Grammy awards have been announced! They did this shit live in concert last night, making artists anxious as hell as they waited to maybe hear their names. Sadly, Angelina Pivarnick never heard hers...
- Eminem leads the nominations with 10! See, it pays off to be angry... who said you shouldn't live life angry?
- Bruno Mars follows with 7. If it weren't for that whole cocaine thing I think he would have gotten like 8.
- Lady Gaga and Jay-Z are not far behind with 6 each. These two should effing collaborate and get freakin' TWELVE nominations next year.
- B.o.B. scored himself 5 nominations. He better thank Subway if he wins.
- And Katy Perry, Rihanna, Drake, and Cee Lo Green are all up for 4 awards. I just really need Cee Lo to win something and pray the presenter drops a big fat f-bomb saying, "And the Grammy goes to... Cee Lo Green for 'FUCK YOU'!!"

Amazing performance of 'Only Girl'
I don't know how he does it, but everyone's favorite YouTube lipsyncer has managed to make me feel like I'M the only girl in the world with his flawless rendition of Rihanna's "Only Girl"... I was hoping he would do this one!
Just wait until 1:13 happens...
Can I request "We R Who We R" by Ke$ha? I think he perfectly symbolizes what that song is all about anyway. xo

Rihanna is still talking about Chris Brown
I thought Rihanna was done discussing Chris Brown in interviews but apparently not...
US Weekly has got their hands on the December issue of Marie Claire where the "Only Girl (In The World)" singer is calling CB beating on her "a wake up call". She also reveals the moment she decided to dump the loser for good (as you'll recall, she didn't do it right away following the attack).
Here are some quotes:
Hey wait --doesn't Rihanna have a new album called "LOUD" to promote??

Here are some quotes:
On finding a reason for what happened: "God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, 'What did I do to deserve this?' Why was it backfiring on me? But I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that's what God was giving to me."
On dealing with the attack in the public eye: "All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down. [But] once you're back on your feet -- if you ever make it back on your feet -- that's the ultimate achievement."
On deciding to ditch her violent boyfriend: "I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. It was a different day. I felt different. I didn't feel lonely," she recalls. "I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world. That was a great, great feeling."
On life now: "I feel like I smile for real this time. The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in everything I do. People feel my energy is different. When I smile they can tell that it's pure bliss and not just a cover up."
Hey wait --doesn't Rihanna have a new album called "LOUD" to promote??
