T.I. has checked into prison

T.I. has officially lost his freedom again, for the next 11 months...

TMZ reports the rapper checked himself into prison this afternoon (I love the way they say “checked in”, like it’s a hotel).



Even though T.I. won't be charged for the drug arrest which landed him behind bars (he's there because he violated his probation), his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle will.  She faces up to a year in prison if convicted.

T.I. is going back to jail

T.I. had his probation revoked by a judge in Atlanta today, who sentenced the rapper to 11 months in prison.  That's plenty of time to work on a new album!

T.I. and his wife Tameka were busted for drug possession early last month while he was already on probation for a firearms conviction.  Translation: he's ssstchupid.



TMZ reports (just the)Tip begged the judge not to send him back to the joint because he needs help with his drug addiction (because that worked so well for Lindsay Lohan...)  He's got two weeks to turn himself in. Translation #2: he's got two weeks to either a) party hard or b) flee the country.
