Lindsay Starr Marine Told She Can’t Wear Uniform to Her High School Graduation

Are you kidding me?

These school officials are a God damned disgrace to the education profession! Graduating early and becoming a Marine? That’s fantastic!

The Blaze

Lindsay Starr graduated early, joined the Marines, headed off to spend three months at boot camp and now all she’s asking for is a chance to wear her Marine dress blues to her high school graduation ceremony. Her high school’s answer? Absolutely not.

North Allegheny High School, located in Wexford, Pennsylvania, has a strict graduation policy under which all students must wear school colors and a cap and gown if they plan to walk across the stage to claim their diplomas. Despite efforts to change officials’ minds, Starr has been told that there is absolutely no chance the district will budge.

Some students and teachers have privately voiced support for the young Marine. Starr maintains that the school‘s position isn’t right and she’s being very vocal about the matter:

I bet the school officials are worried about the other students self esteem.

'Obama is a terrorist': Muslim rapper Lupe Fiasco attacks the President in TV interview

Daily Mail

He has already been in trouble for hosting one controversial Chicago rapper at the White House.

But now it seems Barack Obama has fallen fowl of another windy city lyricist after Grammy winning artist Lupe Fiasco called the President a 'terrorist' in a recent TV interview.

Fiasco, real name Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, has previously attacked the president for not speaking out about the Israeli bombing of civilians in the Gaza strip.

Hollywood Writer David Mamet Describes ‘Coming Out’ As a Conservative

Liberals are so upset that David Mamet has left the reservation of Liberalism. But, this is what happens when America elects a flat out socialist as president—it creates more conservatives.

Thank you, Barack Obama!

Welcome home, David!

The Blaze

A-list director and writer David Mamet is an Oscar and a Tony Award-nominee and a Pulitzer-Prize winner. A true rarity, this successful Hollywood screenwriter has “come out” (as Fox put it) as a political conservative. This, of course, can be tough in a world that is dominated by left-leaning minds.
In an interview with FOX News, Mamet discusses why he stopped embracing liberalism. He chats about Hollywood’s “herd mentality” and says that “…the essence of liberalism as I understand it, in its aspect of being a religion, is that you have to protect the lie.”

Abortion Billboard Could Land New Mexico Ex-Boyfriend in Jail

This report says the circumstances that the billboards claims may not be true.

So what?

There have been over 35 to 50 million abortions performed in the U.S. since 1973. That sounds like an undeclared holocaust. Besides when Dan Rather tried to use forged documents to slam George Bush’s military record, Rather insisted that the story he was reporting was still true.

ABC News

A New Mexico man said today he will fight to keep up a controversial billboard that suggested his ex-girlfriend had an abortion.

The billboard has a photo of Greg Fultz holding the outline of a baby with a playground in the background. The large text beside the photo reads, "This Would Have Been a Picture Of My 2-Month Old Baby If The Mother Had Decided To NOT KILL Our Child!"

The sign is on White Sands Boulevard, the main thoroughfare in Alamogordo, N.M., and has been up since mid-May. Fultz's ex-girlfriend Nani Lawrence took him to court with a petition for domestic violence and charges of harassment and invasion of privacy.

NYS Sen Eric Adams is a traitor to his race for siding with UFT lawsuit

My African American community, when will you learn that the Democrat Party don’t care about what’s best for your kids?

A low down snake in the grass African American state senator has turned his back on his own people by siding with his masters in the powerful teacher’s, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) on a lawsuit to stop the expansion of charter schools that offer better education for children that look like him.

This is absolutely shameful, but I’m not shocked because Adams gets piles of money from the UFT and that’s more important than what’s best for the kids.

Until the African American community reaches a level of political maturity that realizes their vote for the Democrat Party WILL NOT be automatic, they’ll invite this type of betrayal from now until Kingdom come.

Wake the fuck up, my brothers and sisters!

New York Post

Brooklyn state Sen. Eric Adams gets an "F" -- for flip-flopping on charter schools, betrayed parents charge.

Adams enthusiastically voted last May to let the number of charters in the state dramatically increase from 200 to 460 -- winning praise from charter-school advocates.

But he stunned parents last month when he signed on as a co-plaintiff to a lawsuit filed by the United Federation of Teachers that would block the opening or expansion of 20 charters in public school buildings.

The NAACP also is a party to the suit.

"It doesn't make sense. It's a slap in the face. It's hypocritical and back-stabbing," said Brooklyn parent Oneka Hope, whose son, Aubrey, is a first-grader at Empower charter school in Crown

His political supporters also feel jilted.

Adams' re-election bid was endorsed last year by the pro-charter group Democrats for Education Reform. The group's donors also pumped thousands of dollars into his campaign kitty.

"People see this as throwing families and students under the bus to participate in the teachers union's cynical chess game [to block charters]," said DFER director Joe Williams.

Adams declined e-mail and phone requests for comment.

Charter backers also claim the incestuous relationship between the UFT and the NAACP has compromised the civil-rights group's integrity on education issues.

The NAACP has received $120,000 in donations from the UFT and its statewide affiliate, the New York State United Teachers, since 2008, financial reports show.

Kentucky Parents Laura DiPrimo and Thomas Lee Who Left Kid in Hot Car at Strip Club Complain About Hot Cop Car

Some people just don’t deserve to be parents. How can a mother leave her child in a car with that type of leat?

The Blaze

Police have arrested two people after finding a one-year-old child in the back seat of a car at a strip club.
When police arrived, the child was crying and soaked in sweat, according to the arrest record reported by WLKY-TV.
The child’s mother, Laura DiPrimo, ran out of the club, started the car and rolled down the rear window. The child’s father, Thomas Lee, followed. He was wearing a home incarceration bracelet from Clark County, Ind.

Both said they had been drinking, according to the arrest report.

Police say the child is doing fine and was placed in the custody of a relative.
DiPrimo and Lee were charged with wanton endangerment.

Police said Lee complained the back seat of the cruiser was hot as he was transported to jail.

Summer job bummer: Teen unemployment 24 percent

How’s is increasing the minimum wage working out?

CBS News

The latest numbers show the unemployment rate stands at 9.1 percent, with the pace of job growth slowing. When it comes to new jobs, 70 percent of those are coming from small businesses, but many of them are struggling just to hang on.

Small businesses are often responsible for filling the summer job needs of America's teenagers. CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker reports that many 16- to 19-year-olds are finding the going rough when it comes to finding work once school is out.

The Labor Department says the unemployment rate for those aged 16 to 19 last month was more than 24 percent. Compare that to May of 2000, when the rate was less than 13 percent.

Looking for summer employment has become a full-time job for 19-year-old Ana Galindo.

"I'm worried all the time. I'm worried because I have bills to pay," Galindo says.

She has filled out countless applications, but so far, the answer's been the same.

"At the moment we're not hiring, but we're just taking applications. We'll give you a call," prospective employers say.

Yet the phone never rings. College sophomore John Reed-Torres has been job hunting since last November. He says he's often competing with older workers and college grads for entry-level positions.
"People with Masters (degrees) trying to work at McDonald's. They're going to get hired before I do," Reed-Torres says.

The latest figures show California's unemployment rate among teenagers is more than 34 percent, which is nearly triple the state's overall unemployment rate of 11.9 percent. In cities such as Irvine, California, job fairs have been canceled because few companies have agreed to participate.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, it's not just the private sector turning young applicants away. In the past, L.A. teens -- especially those in low-income neighborhoods -- could count on getting summer jobs at city parks and pools. But this year, cuts in federal funding are putting a damper on those summer plans.

Last summer, Los Angeles hired 16,000 young people. This summer, only 6,000 will land a city job. Youth counselors are concerned.

This is why increasing the minimum wage was a bad idea. It hurts teens trying to get into the work force. You can thank Democrats for this one too.

Illinois Dioceses Suspend Adoption Licensing over Civil Unions law . And what about Gays adopting Black kids?

I agree with the dioceses decision of not wanting to provide foster care and adoption services to Gay couples. It’s totally appropriate under the teachings of the faith.

However, a bigger issue that has fallen below the radar because most people are afraid of talking about it, is the numbers of African American children that have been adopted by Gay couples.

I remember back in the day a huge argument of how White parents aren’t suitable to raise Black children because the cultural differences were detrimental to the child.

Well, what about African American children raised by Whites who are also Gay? That issue was never brought to the forefront because of Political Correctness. So as a result, we’ll have another generation of children not knowing what it means to be Black and straight?

Advocate

Two Illinois Catholic Charities agencies have suspended licensing new foster care and adoptive parents following the state's enactment of a civil unions law.

Glenn Van Cura, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet, told The Advocate that his office is not accepting applications for new foster care or adoptive parents pending further clarification from the governor and attorney general's office.

"What we want to make clear is that according to our beliefs, with any cohabitating couple, whether homosexual or heterosexual, we don't refer to licensing. It's just part of our social teaching," Van Cura said.

Single individuals, whether gay or straight, have been eligible to become foster or adoptive parents, however. "We don't ask, nor is it any of our business," Van Cura said of a single applicant's sexual orientation.

In a letter this week to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Catholic Charities of Peoria CEO Tricia C. Fox wrote that the suspension could be lifted if the state amended the civil unions law to allow religious services to refer same-sex couples elsewhere.

The move by the two dioceses comes a week after Catholic Charities of Rockford announced it would halt its state adoption and foster care services because of the new civil unions law.

"Catholic Charities and other religious agencies asked the State of Illinois to allow their agencies to refer such couples to other adoption and foster care agencies so as to not violate the moral teachings of their faith,” diocese spokeswoman Penny Wiegert said at a press conference last week. “Tragically, that did not happen. The state legislature failed to pass legislation or a written agreement that would exempt Catholic Charities from the application of the civil unions law. Even with the tireless efforts of the state’s Catholic Charities directors … the exemption failed.”

I thought Gays adopting these Black children was part of their strategy to soften public opinion towards Gay Marriage. If you have a slew of these types of families, then they could say, "What? We can't get married? What about our kids?

More Than 9 in 10 Americans Continue to Believe in God. But Atheism up 600%

There are different ways at looking at statistics. When 7% of those polled by Gallup say “no” to a belief in God, that’s a 600% increase from what Americans answered in the 1940s.

This is an extremely troubling trend for the country that somebody needs to pay attention to.

Gallup

More than 9 in 10 Americans still say "yes" when asked the basic question "Do you believe in God?"; this is down only slightly from the 1940s, when Gallup first asked this question.

Despite the many changes that have rippled through American society over the last 6 ½ decades, belief in God as measured in this direct way has remained high and relatively stable. Gallup initially used this question wording in November 1944, when 96% said "yes." That percentage dropped to 94% in 1947, but increased to 98% in several Gallup surveys conducted in the 1950s and 1960s. Gallup stopped using this question format in the 1960s, before including it again in Gallup's May 5-8 survey this year.

Police shoot dangerous looking alligator, only to find it's a lawn ornament

Maybe the cop was drinking on the job?

Daily Mail

They don't get many alligators in the suburbs of land-locked Kansas City, but if and when they do the local police like to think they can handle it.
Officers responding to a rare sighting in the suburb of Independence, Missouri, left nothing to chance.

Seeing the alligator's head lurking menacingly in the weeds leading down to a pond they fired off one shot with perfect precision.

Noting that the beast hadn't moved, they fired again.
When they saw the bullet bounce off the gator's head they realised that they were tackling a concrete lawn ornament.

A Independence police spokesman said, in defence of the officers, it was growing dark when the incident occurred.

The drama began when a neighbour who had not spotted the fake gator before called 911 to report that his children spotted the monster while they were playing in some nearby woods.

House Speaker John Boehner Throws Down the War Powers Act Gauntlet On Libya

Well, it’s about time. The country has no business in Libya anyway. I still can’t figure out what we’re soing there.

And as far as the Obama regime telling the American people that NATO is taking a lead role in Libya, does he really think the people are that stupid?

NATO is the United States!

ABC News

In the immortal words of the vice president, this could be a big $%^ing deal: House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, is throwing what one Republican calls “a legal and political hot potato at the President.”

In a resolution to be voted on in the House tomorrow, Boehner is giving the president two weeks – until the Pentagon Appropriations bill comes up – to either:
a) Ask for authorization for the military intervention in Libya, or
b) Figure out how to disengage the US from the NATO operation in Libya.

The resolution states: “The President has not sought, and Congress has not provided, authorization for the introduction or continued involvement of the United States Armed Forces in Libya. Congress has the constitutional prerogative to withhold funding for any unauthorized use of the United States Armed Forces, including for unauthorized activities regarding Libya.”

Boehner is explicitly and formally stating that the president did not check the box on the War Powers Act before sending the US military to intervene in Libya.

The White House had no immediate comment, though earlier today White House press secretary Jay Carney said “we believe that the policy is working, we believe that the goal the president has is shared by a vast majority of members of Congress, and we have consulted with Congress every step of the way since we have initiated this policy.” Carney went on to reiterate that “our involvement militarily is limited, as the president promised, and will continue to be so, and he has made very clear, for example, that we will not be sending ground troops to Libya; that is off the table.”

School yearbook puts Bush and Cheney on list of 'worst 5 people of all time' (alongside Hitler, Bin Laden and Charles Manson)

This is the hatred of The Left on display. Remember, it’s the taxpayers paying for this garbage that’s indoctrinating our children to become little Leftists.

Daily Mail

A middle school yearbook has listed former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney among the 'worst people of all time' - ranking them alongside Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden and Charles Manson.

Printed in the yearbook for students at Russellville Middle School in Arkansas, the list has prompted furious responses from parents and staff.

Faculty members stuck black tape across the offending page in a last ditch attempt to save face but parents are furious about the gaffe, which aligns the former president with some of the
Nazi leader Adolf Hitler topped the list, followed closely by former Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden, who was killed last month by U.S. troops in Pakistan.

Third worst of all time was notorious serial killer Charles Manson, with George W. Bush in fourth and Dick Cheney trailing in fifth place.

Two F-16s scrambled as United Airlines flight is forced into emergency landing... after passengers get into a fight over a reclined seat

What were the F-16s supposed to do?

Daily Mail

A United Airlines flight was forced into a dramatic emergency landing that cost the taxpayer thousands after two passengers started a fistfight over a reclined seat, it has emerged.

Fighter jets were scrambled with two F-16s escorting Flight 990 as it dumped fuel to lessen its weight in order to land on Sunday night.

The Boeing 767, from Washington's Dulles Airport bound for Accra in Ghana, had 144 people on board when the fight broke out, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said.

Issa blasts Commerce nominee as 'green evangelist'

The whole "green" thing is a sham marketing term that the Left has latched onto to promote low-paying jobs for minorities for minorities putting up solar panels. Former Clinton Labor Secy Robert Reich famously said that the new green jobs shouldn't go to white construction workers. I would put up the video, but it's been wiped off the net.

The Hill

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) blasted President Obama on Tuesday for nominating John Bryson to be the next Commerce secretary, calling the decision "deeply out-of-touch with our current energy challenge."

Issa said Bryson is a "green evangelist" and took aim at the long-time energy company CEO for co-founding the Natural Resources Defense Council, a leading environmental group.

"With gas prices at nearly four dollars a gallon, it’s certainly eye-catching that President Obama has nominated a founder of an organization that opposes efforts to increase domestic oil production to serve as the nation’s key advocate for our economic interests," Issa said in a statement. "The nomination of John Bryson to lead the Department of Commerce seems deeply out-of-touch with our current energy challenge."

But instead of showing her polished version of the story, they accidentally showed a humiliating warm up clip.

U.S. Adults Estimate That 25% of Americans Are Gay or Lesbian-Media hype blows up perception

...those with lower incomes, the less educated, women, and young people give the highest estimates

There’s a simple explanation as to why people’s
perception of how many Americans are Gay or Lesbian is so far out of whack with reality—Left wing media hype.

The media that perpetuates the myth that Barack Obama is a competent president is the same media that tries very hard to sell Liberalism as mainstream American thought when it’s absolutely far from the truth.

Part of that Liberal indoctrination is promoting the Gay life style as “normal” and The Left spares no opportunity be it in movies, commercials, TV shows, magazine articles, cable channels or anywhere else they can push the message.

But, the reality is that the LGBT community is an extremely small portion of the total population of this country.

Gallup

Demographer Gary Gates last month released a review of population-based surveys on the topic, estimating that 3.5% of adults in the United States identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual, with bisexuals making up a slight majority of that figure. Gates also disputes the well-circulated statistic that "10% of the males are more or less exclusively homosexual."

8yrs old Texas girl Tori Blair Wilson, hangs herself, bullying possible

I don’t know any of the details of this girl’s life, but something doesn’t smell right here. What does an 8 year old girl know about wanting to commit suicide? That’s way too young to have suicidal thoughts.

Something ain’t right!

Daily Mail

An eight-year-old girl found dead in the woods near her home had hanged herself after being bullied, police have said.

The body of little Tori Blair Wilson was discovered just 80 yards from her house near Palestine, East Texas, after she went missing from a neighborhood barbecue.

Following a weeks-long investigation, an autopsy has now revealed the second-grader died from suicide by hanging.

It also found the pretty eight-year-old had talked about suicide in the past, once even putting her head in a noose in front of one of her friends.

Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor told CBS: 'It appears she was a good student with no problems at school, but we did receive information she may have been bullied at some point.'

He told local newspaper the Palestine Herald Tori may even have been bullied on the day of her death, but investigators had not discovered any specific culprits.

Tori was a pupil at Westwood Primary School, where she was described as a 'very fine student' who was loved by teachers.

She had been playing happily with bikes and water balloons at the neighborhood barbecue near her home on Sunday, April 17, when she disappeared.

Jobless Claims Still Keep On Climbing Higher. How is Obama stimulus working out?

These are the facts in which the Obama presidency will be judged. It’s not about how good he looks or how well he gives a speech. He’s has to answer for 800 billion dollars in stimulus spending. His regime promised the American people that unemployment wouldn’t go above 8%. It’s at 9 and climbing.

The only thing President Obama stimulated were the paychecks of public sector employees.

CNBC

New U.S. claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly climbed to 424,000 last week from a revised 414,000 in the prior week, pointing to a painfully slow improvement in the nation's job markets.

The Labor Department on Thursday revised the prior week's claims number up from an originally reported 409,000.

Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast that claims last week would decline to 400,000, rather than rise.

The four-week moving average of unemployment claims, considered a better measure of trends since it smoothes out weekly variations, eased slightly to 438,500 from a revised 440,250.

Last week marked the seventh straight week in which claims topped the 400,000 level, indicating that payroll growth is soft and may continue to be so for some time. A department official said there were no exceptional factors to account for the rise in last week's claims.

Oh no! A racist Dove before and after soap ad! Wanna turn from black to white?

Racist? The ad features a 'before' and 'after' skin chart behind a black woman, a possible Latina and a blonde - all wrapped in towels - standing beside each other

I love it when some people find racism everywhere. It only shows how silly Liberals can be.

Soap giant Dove has landed itself in hot water after an advert for one of its products appeared to suggest it can change a user's skin color.

The promotion, for Dove VisibleCare Creme Body Wash, features a 'before' and 'after' skin chart behind a black woman, possibly a Latina and a blonde - all wrapped in towels - standing beside each other.

The caption reads: 'Visibly more beautiful skin from the most unexpected of places - your shower.'

But critics are in a lather over the ad, accusing Dove of implied - and albeit unintentional - racism.
