Wesley Snipes sentenced to 3 years in prison

Uhhh I thought he already WAS in jail??  Or at least he was SUPPOSED to be...



CBC News reports Wesley Snipes has been sentenced to 3-years in prison today for-- what else??  Not paying his taxes!

Between the years of 1999 and 2006, the 48-year-old actor had made more than $38 million US but never filed any tax returns.  Laaaazy.  Wes was convicted in 2008 on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns, but had been out on bail until now awaiting an appeal.



Today the judge said, "The defendant Snipes had a fair trial; he has had a full, fair and thorough review of his conviction and sentence.... The time has come for the judgment to be enforced."  He's now behind bars.



At least we know he won't be taken advantage of in prison... Who would mess with a dude named BLADE?!
