You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.

You have to use only H4. Under the last action taken rule B1/B2 is automatically invalid. Again H4 allows you to have dual intention for filing green card.

I opened a service request last week regarding the pending I 485 case. Today I got the following letter in mail. "We are actively processing your case. However we have to perform additional review on this case. Contact us after 6 months." . When I opened a SR last year I got the same response.
I was wondering is this a standard SR reply or is the case really under additional review ? I know my name check got cleared long back ( info pass ). I think additional reviews are done by Department of Homeland Security and probably USCIS put the case on hold until DHS clear the case. Since my case is in limbo for over a year, is there any way to speedup the "additional review" process ?? I am thinking of sending all the "additional review" mails I got along with the case details to senators. Please let me know if anybody got any better ideas.

My attorney asked for all prior H1 or L1 approval notices. I told him I don't have them. I only have my current H1 approval notice. I do have all visa stamps on my passport. He told me USCIS is very likely to ask for those.

This kind of happened to me. Got the AP approval email then after 4 days got EAD approval email. Got EAD card in the mail a week after that.
And surprisingly got AP in mail a whole week after that. Looking at the AP
envelope it was postmarked after the EAD card was actually put in mail.
So it might be that your AP is on its way. But 30 days sounds a lot of
time. I would try and talk to the customer service and open a SR.

vxg...I disagree with your statement that "stamp...can be forged'. Anything can be forged (e.g. passport, money). If the I-551 is legit what do you have to be afraid of?
wandmaker is correct. Take infopass, tell them you may have to travel soon and get the stamp. I've done it...nothing wrong with that. By the way, since your I-485 is approved, your AP is no longer valid and you should not use it.

It's OK to stay while change of status (COS) is pending if COS was filed before I-94 expiration (your case). Even though your wife will be technically out of status after 1/3/09, she is not going to accumulate unlawful presence because her stay is authorized by US Attorney General. Out of status is not a big deal. A person who came on H1 and filed for AOS does not have any status if H1 expires, but that person is lawfully present in US.
So wait for a decision on COS and if it is denied, your wife has 180 days to get a lawful status or to pack and leave without any adverse consequences.

What are the requirements to file GC under EB2 category? I know USCIS needs 4 years degree. But I am Commerce graduate (3 years) from India and with over 11 years of IT experience, am I eligible for EB2? Can I use my experience to make up for 1 year. If not, can you suggest 1 yr. online degree (acceptable to USCIS) to be eligible for EB2.
