So your application was applied in Employment Based Green Card category and your priority date is March 16, 2001. Your I-485 is pending since 2002.
What is your current status? Were you ever out of status while your stay in US? Have you contacted your sponsoring employer or the lawyer who applied for you? I suggest you call and speak with your attorney first thing Monday morning. Did you pay full amount to this guy, I mean your attorney. If you did, too bad, its time to pay him another $2 million before he returns your phone call.
Also, if I were you, on Monday morning I would call and speak with the lovely folks on other side of the 800 number we all love chatting with. They are soo sweet, isn't it.

It shows self employment and H1B cannot prove employer-employee relationship.

My understanding after reading Nolo's LLC guide is that when you file LLC, if you don't state who will be Members and Managers. then everyone by default will be Members and Managers. If you are going to work, then you should be stated as Manager in Operating agreement.

No, you can not get a copy of I-140 by USCIS
except your employer or attorney, one of my friend called attorneys office when attorney is not in the office paralegal answered and he requested her a copy of approval she sent but attorney may not give you. However there is a form of I-824 to get a duplicate copy but its useful to employers not for beneficiary. USCIS will not send duplicate of I-140 copy to beneficiary.
If you want to port your older priority date, having I-140 approval is good but that not required, meaning if you have I-140 receipt number thats good enough to port.

I doubt if a Masters qualify for EB1. But if you filed under EB1, then you should be able to file I485 immediately as that category is CURRENT. Check and confirm the category your employers filed and post your question again.
There is no way you can file under EB1
You can go max to Eb2 or Eb3
if its big co you work for then they will stick to eb3
if its some tolly molly software co then u get eb2
either way you are screwed.

cool..hats off to USCIS...1 yr EAD will take 1 yr to process. u should apply ur next EAD now itself...this is implicit suggession by USCIS to you (and us)
Awesome job (USCIS) guys..I feel like hitting rotten eggs to the dept office..they have increased the fee but have gotten worse in level of services.
You can't apply for EAD more than 120 days prior to expiry of your current EAD. If you do they will return your app ( might keep the check though).

No bill was introduced in Senate. Where is the question of voting? If anti immigrants some how make waste these 2 weeks of time in Senate then there will not be enough time to discuss. Now 60% chance. If no bill is introduced in Senate before end of may it will come down to 40%.

Yes, thats good news specially for the applicants in that region. In my opinion applicants from MP and Karnataka and AP will fall into that region I guess though not sure but just my 2 cents. Right now they just opened the office but I dont think they will be fully functional till mid-december 2008.

I went to Kanha and Bandhavgarh National parks, the last two times I had been to India. The december season is not the best one for tiger viewing, however; if you give it 2-3 days, you will see some activity.
I will recommend Bandhavgarh. Although not as accessible as Kanha, the forest has best tiger density of all Indian parks and hence improves your chance of sighting. The forest area is much smaller than Kanha, so you will see less of other wildlife, there are no bisons or barasinghas in Bandhavgarh, but you will definitely see tigers. Took 4 game drives, sighted twice, once two tigers were fighting ferociously. Captured it all like on Animal planet.
Kanha: Is a much bigger& beautiful forest, is more easily accessible. I took 3 game drives in 2008, no sightings. You have better chance of sighting other animals such as sloth bears, nilgai, bisons here. Spotting a tiger can be and in any forest will be a matter of chance. Kanha still has a tiger show in the morning in which if they see a tiger they take you by elephant to the tiger. This show is no more in play @ Bandhavgarh.
All of my 7 game drives were a thrill & most memorable experiences. You can take a flight to Jabalpur from Delhi and either forest is a 6 hr drive from there. Watching a tiger in the wild and the thrill to seek it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
Or you can go to Kajuraho from Delhi by flight and Bandhavgargh is a 6 hr drive.
Have fun in what you do.

Sure, the USCIS will ofcourse remind certain people to apply for the Travel documents: Why not?
After all (1) $305 from pre-July 30, 2007 (I485) applicants (and many, many of such applicants) will count to make the USCIS (and the US) "rich." (2) Keeping the chain of advance parole and EAD's will prevent this country from giving permanency to the "foreigners." Goodness, gracious, we are taking away their jobs...remember....

On April 3, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."
What else do you want Bro. Give 30 days time to USCIS to send your card. we, most of us, would me more satisfied just to see the magical words - Current Status: Card production ordered in our case status.
Regarding holding card in physically, have to wait some time. Which should not be more taxing than waiting to see the magical words.

Well, iam in the same dilemma. I was out of country for 3 months since March and out of job since then.I recently took up a permanent position.I did not inform my employer about it.The new employer is willing to give the offer letter which is needed for invoking AC21. I do have a copy of the approved
I140.I don't have any contact with my employer except for using the COBRA option of health coverage.So at this point iam not even sure if my approved I140 has been withdrawn or not.
Is it a good idea at this point to invoke AC21 ?

I had infopass appointment 2 days ago to enquiry about name check status. You stand on the line the security guy check your infopass appointment confirmation letter, and verifies the appointment time. if it is > 15 min. then he asks you to come 15 min. before. The receiptionist calls the next person in line. Takes the infopass appointment cfrm letter, and ask for what is the purpose of the appointment. Once she verifies it, If she gives you a token then you will go inside and talk to immigration officer.
I know most of you might be busy looking for the bill.

I picked IronKart but not by much. It was much shinier and brighter than my second choice - Sens.
