TMZ reports the actress, who is on probation, has been accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store. Apparently it's a "one-of-a-kind" so when the store owners came across a photo online of LiLo wearing it, they notified police. They also turned in surveillance video of her wearing the necklace in their store.
The LAPD responded with a warrant to search Lohan's home but the necklace was turned in before that could happen. She's blaming it on her stylist claiming it was lent to her and the stylist was supposed to bring it back.
It does kind of seem like a setup though... Yes, they turned in a tape of her wearing the necklace in store but they very well could have been like, "Yes you can borrow it! Return it whenever you like sweetie pie!!!" Then decided to call the cops on her ass to get their store some publicity or some shit.
If charges are laid, Lindsay could be facing jail time for violating her probation. And if she actually IS a klepto, hey Winona Ryder got out of it...
