Knut the polar bear has died

Knut (pronounced Ki-noot, not K-Nut, or Kunt...), the main tourist attraction of the Berlin Zoo, suddenly died at the young age of 4 over the weekend.

The polar bear became famous from his birth December 2006 after his deadbeat mother rejected him.  A German zookeeper named Thomas Dörflein became his replacement parent until he died unexpectedly in September 2008.  Also, Knut had a twin brother who died as an infant.  Yes, despite being the star of the zoo, Knut has lived a tragic life...

According to the report, 600-700 people witnessed the death of Knut who, for unknown reasons, collapsed in his enclosure Saturday.  So sad, this kinoot be trueeee!  :-(

The investigation into his death will begin today although I'm pretty certain all they'll find is that Knut had a broken heart.  And the Berlin Zoo is totally effed.  Rest in peace cuddly cub.
