He had one of the most recognizable voices in Hip-Hop and rapped his smooth lyrics on many legendary songs such as “Regulate” with Warren G, “Area Codes” with Ludacris, “Shake That” with Eminem, “The Next Episode” and countless other songs with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

Nate Dogg died on Tuesday at age 41 after suffering from health problems for years including a stroke in 2007 and 2008. Local media PressTelegram in his hometown of Long Beach first reported the news.

Snoop Dogg is expressing his grief on Twitter writing, “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met.” Adding an essential, “all doggs go to heaven.”

Rest in peace.
