I haven't read the link yet, but what would be the URL to the files so you can access them either via a URL or to put an image up in the [IMG] tags?
Or are you simply wanting to use it as an "external HD"?From reading the article, I believe it is the latter. If somebody wrote a suitable device driver so that Gmail storage looked like an external or network disk to Mac OS X, the same thing would work on a Mac. If.

Neither party is very effective at this point.... :(
Somewhere a few pages back there is a thread accusing the Republicans of being domestic terrorists. Reality is, both parties gleefully sodomize the 99% ("middle class" and below), the Ds are just a little more sly and subtle about it. And history would suggest that Rs are no strangers to sodomy, just to vaseline.

Question for folks who have gone (or purchased ticket voucher). From the looks of it, you buy a voucher, which you then redeem online for a ticket, correct? Can you buy the voucher now, but fill in the attendee ticket details at a later time? I'm going to buy, but there's the off chance I won't be able to attend, so I'd like to give the ticket to someone else.
Yes. I got mine this morning, and buying a ticket is separate from activating it. After you buy, you'll get a link to activate it, and you could forward that link to someone else if you can't go. Once one person activates it, however, it becomes non-transferable.

I think it does, all other manufactures are spitting out models every month and Apple has two models that they sell every year and they sell more then these other manufactures. Why change that? Can Apple succeeded at selling more models when nobody else can?
First off Apple isn't even close to first in sales, so your thoughts are based on faulty data. Second even if they where first in sales selling even more hardware is better. Given the right features more models simply means more sales.

Picked up a black 3DS at a midnight launch along with Steel Diver and Ghost Recon. I didn't like Steel Diver, but i'm going to give it a second chance and try playing it at a slower pace (I was going through it too fast and getting frustrated.) Ghost Recon on the other hand I have been playing since Sunday and loving it thoroughly. I've also picked up Pilotwings & Rayman3D but have not played them yet.
For anyone looking for a 3D photo that really shows off the 3D capability of the screen I found this one of a dog growling. It really pops out of the screen, but can be a little difficult to focus on. I think you have to go a little cross-eyed to see it.

To use the photo you will need to pop the SD card out of your 3DS and connect it to your computer with a card reader. Unzip the folder that's attached to this post and put the folder inside the DCIM folder at the root of the SD card. Then just pop the SD card back in your 3DS and open the photo app, it will update its database and then appear along with any other photos you already have.

Why? Everyone needs to be taking cuts including PPH. I am a Democrat, however I know if it were not for the Republicans controlling the House right now the talk would be of increasing spending instead of cutting spending.
I think everyone can agree that we need to get spending under control and every department and entitlement program should be looked at and take cuts if necessary. What I would really like to see is an across the board 10% cut if I had it my way. That won't get rid of the deficit, but it would help.
They are not looking to cut funding for PP, they are looking to eliminate funding.
This is all a circle jerk. They are arguing over less than 1% of the budget. We are 6 months into the budget year already. Can you imagine what the 2012 budget negotiations will be like?

Right now in NYC you can walk in the Apple store anytime and get the Verizon iPad. ATT models are extremely hard to find.
So how is it that Verizon is preferred???... (I know why but I'll let you guess...:))
This is not surprising. All the Chinese resellers who were buying iPads in NYC are unlikely to buy the Verizon CDMA, because it cannot be used abroad. The GSM version (i.e. the ATT version) is one that can be used in most places abroad, as long as the iPad is unlocked.

I wonder who the first manufacturer was to create a dock connector? I assume IBM? They should sue Apple and give them a piece of their own medicine. You know if the shoe was on the other foot. . .

I am very happy with my 13.3" MBA with 2 USB ports. But I have to admit, I am envious of the potential experience with the lightning fast Thunderbolt I/O in the latest MBP.
I started without Backlit Keyboard, and I am cool with that (although not as much elegant-looking, it saves unnecessary battery power).
And yes, I'd like to see a microfibre cloth included in the box! It's just too cheap yet important for any MBA users!

You thought they would have learned with "Lemmings", back in the '80s. You don't gain customers by antagonizing them and telling them they're stupid. The big problem with these "hello, I'm a Mac" commercials is that they're an easy target for parodies. It's a sometimes subtle line to cross, and I'm not sure these "hello, I'm a Mac" commercials are completely on one side, but still, it's all about perception, and if it makes PC users angry, it's probably worth taking note...
One of the most to-the-point Apple commercials aired back 10 years or so ago, it was called "dinosaurs", and showed a dad struggling with DOS/Windows issues (you'd hear him mutter "command.com, autoexec.bat, config.sys, IRQ...") while promising his kid he'd be able to see dinosaurs. After a while, the kid gets up and tells the dad he's going to his friend's house. When the dad asks why, the kid replies "he's got a Mac".
What I'd like Apple to articulate in commercials is, when you buy a PC, that's what you get. When you buy a Mac, you get a Mac and a PC for the same price, what is there to think about?

I'd like to help. I think my PS3 can do Folding.
yes, the ps3 can fold. just remember to join team 3446! and your ps3 should get around 900-1000 ppd (points per day)
i'll be getting more involved with this as soon as my electricity supplier has finally changed, should be a couple of weeks, my current love overcharging me for leaving things running 24/7.
i'll also try and sort out the software for my ps3, i barely use that so it'd prolly out do my computer looool
Powermac G5 dual 2.0Ghz teh Mac Pro is coming later this year hopefully :D
sounds good :) we need all the help we can get. and that mac pro will do nicely!
Everyone has lost interest in doing this kind of thing I guess. Maybe when they removed the screensaver, for good reasons, it wasn't as interesting for some people. Upgrading to new clients can be a hassle.
I think if the stats were more interesting, I would like to have a better way to see how I'm doing against people on other teams.
Kakaostats may go by the wayside, he doesn't have individual stats anymore and the rest of his stats are questionable because of some bug.:(
do you ever use these stats? (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=3446)
you can see other individuals also. and see how you rank against them
Every little bit helps. But what we really need is people with 8 cores plus (virtual, desktop machine) running bigadv, at least until faster GPU and/or a GPU client for mac.
yeah we do. of course GPU folding in windows helps also. but not as good as bigadv. apple needs to release the new mac pros soon!
Glad to hear from other users on the forum :)
We have lost more active users since I started this thread :( Come on every one, every bit helps. Hell if we had 1000 users folding 100 points a day that would go a long way, and for those who don't fold 100 points is not that hard for a modern computer :)
yes we do need more users. 1,000 users @ 100 ppd is 100,000 ppd. whiterabbit is doing almost that by himself!

Ok so maybe off track but how much longer can the Darwin/Mach underpinings of both OS X and iOS last?
How long till we get to a much better way of doing the lowest level of stuff that Apple starts transitioning the OS to a new kernal. Reading the wiki page for the Mach kernal it would seem many of Mach functions are either duplicated or at least extracted in to newer OS features like grand central. Plus they've put alot of investment in to the LLVM compiler chain.
I guess I'm wondering if "the Future of iOS and OS X" doesn't involve Mach? Lion/5 being the last in that line. With Apple taking the WWDC to discuss what's coming after these two as much as what's in these two. You'd imagine that transition would be a two year public plan to make sure developers are getting themselves ready and it seems like Lion/5 will be in reasonable shape for those that need to delay a the transition for their own work reasons.
Makes it sound like Apple will keep the two brandings to distinguish the two user experiences.
