Have you checked the directory permissions? By default, your Documents directory is set to only be readable by you (for security on your local machine).
Try chmodding that sucker...

My 3GS is a lot snappier than before. They fixed the annoying issue about the unlock bar sensitivity being too high (had to go exactly straight). And most of the animations no longer stagger.

i have four LaCie d2 form factor drives in a LaCie desk rack. I've used d2's for years, no problems whatsoever. They are quiet and reliable, and, if you're getting more than one eventually, the rack is very nice.

Yep. When I'm running a Winterboard theme, I'll get banner adds at the top, behind the icons, on my springboard after closing certain apps.
I can reproduce 100% of the time with an app called 'Speedometer FREE' from the Apple app store. Quick respring cures it.

It would be interesting to find out if Apple had some sort of trademark on the letter 'i' when used with a computer, or communication related product. That might put Cisco in its place, being that the 'i'Mac was introduced on May 6, of 1996.
I know it would be a long shot, but since the US Patent and Trademark Office's site is impossible to search, its just an idea.

I think the discrete gpu was already running at max performance fps-wise, but the firmware update really seems to have smoothed things out driver-wise interface-wise. And Safari seems a lot better too now. Just wish I had an SSD though, as I've heard they all got boot up speed increases.

- want superior battery life
- want superior capacity
- hard drive fragility isn't a issue for you
- interested in holding video (16GB nano isn't going to do much for holding video)
- don't mind the larger form factor (some prefer it, fits much more comfortably in hand for me in comparison to the nano)

i have one and their color clarity and crispness is better than the new cinema displays and is definetely one of the best on the market. Recommended.
I need to buy a monitor for a powerbook and saw a few companies selling new, in the box 17" Apple Studio Displays online. The price is about $450. I have always loved the look of that monitor, but am wondering how well they stack up with today's monitors. In addition, I believe for the same price I could get 19" - so I am torn. I havn't had over heating problems on my LaCi Proche drive, and I have had it work hard for several hours at a time. Then again, it is on a glass table.

Hmm, I personally think that you can still use the Elevator comfortably, as it's only 5 inches high. You could also connect a wireless keyboard + mouse if that would be more comfortable.
I have just purchased an apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse, I think I'm going to get the griffin and purchase a 23" apple display with some money I saved for an iPad 2 but never got due too the rumors of the 3 coming out in less than a year

Damn, always playing catch up. When i used wireframes, everyone was using flat shading. When i reached there, everyone was using texture mapped gourauds and phongs. After that was ray-tracing and now when i have implemented it with soft shadows, everyone is using path-tracing and derivatives. And my editor uses steam power. It took years to make.
Feel like Janina. (It's a Pin-Up. Model over 18 and in Finland pigtails no toddler make)
