No wonder gay athletes are so reluctant to come out...
After the Toronto Raptors won their game on Sunday, teammates Leandro Barbosa and Reggie Evans, who scored 18 points together, jokingly held hands for the camera on the way to the locker room.
Outsports.com reports this has led to hateful comments with the "f-word" and other homophobic slurs being tossed around online. Really? Over some light-hearted hand holding? I thought it was a cute male-bonding moment. Of course, nobody says anything when football guys tap each other on the ass.
Why does calling someone gay have to be the worst insult people think there is? Get a new vocab, it's pathetic.
