I was asked to get a Sony PS2 Mini for X-mas but will it play MP3 CD and MP3 DVD?
Our DVD deck burned from all the movies played and a PS2 can really do the job for the extra 100$ which at the same time play some games with the kids.

Poll Warz was interesting...
Along with the people who would spam the board just to attempt to have their name show up in every single post on the first page of a forum.
Some were actually pretty good at it and seemed like they made a half-hearted effort to make a coherent reply.
There was nothing resembling coherent thought in Poll Warz.

These were out quite awhile ago since he needed them to get approval to demolish a "historical home". They're aren't crazy detailed and I've heard they may be faked but it seems very utilitarian just like most apple products.

I live in Orange County CA, and I will say there are probably 8 or 9 AT&T stores compared to the 1 Apple Store. I just did a "find a store" zip code search on the AT&T site and there were 18 stores within a 5 mile radius, 31 + stores within a 10 mile radius though not all the stores are "factory" stores (Affordable Portables, etc.). There will be more stores, but I can't imagine each store will have more than 200 phones each. With Apple Stores getting more (hopefully) and Best Buy, Radio Shack, things look good for next week.

Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?
Windows is compiled for x86. Macs are currently PPC. The instruction sets are totally incompatible. This is the reason for Virtual PC.
Assuming you want to run a much less capable OS then you will have to wait for:
1) MS to compile Windows for PPC not x86 (this did used to happen)
2) Wait for Intel based Macs and hope for driver support/boot loader support (maybe January).

There is no way to change the graphics chip on ANY iMac. They are all soldered to the logic board.
More RAM + faster harddrive is about all you can do.
I specifically remember them saying they replaced the graphics card on my DV SE G3 500 iMac when i had it repaired under warranty years ago, now if that means it can be upgraded i doubt it, but from the way it sounded was like it was a seperate card and not part of the logic board.

Ok, guys! Thanks for all your help but I finally fixed it by updating all iLife apps, and doing a reboot - ended the flashing dock problems and iPhoto works!

I opted to get the 4GB version, but waited until the refurb was available (they go quickly so check often and jump when it's in stock). I got it for $929 from apple. I would recommend a plastic case/sleeve/keyboard cover from ebay as they are less than $30 shipped and add very little as far as bulk/weight, but do a nice job of keeping the unit scratch-free and protected (not from drops, of course)

superdrive
vga and hdmi connectors
ordered a waterfield sleeve wwwsfbags.com for $25
carbon fiber top for $25 coming too
migrating presentations now....interesting it took 11 updates - almost an hour!

You either loved or hated the puck. If it was clean, it felt great to use. I still have them and use one on the blueberry iMac I have in the garage. I personally liked it a lot. That said, I still use the original black Pro Mouse to this day with my main setup.

Now I'm problem-solving it just for an excuse to learn more about the workings of OS X.

I have an original iPad which is jail broken and has displayout installed. I picked up the new HDMI adapter from the Apple store and every app mirrors perfectly except for Netflix. With Netflix I get a red Netflix screen on my TV, however, the video only plays on the iPad.
All other applications including Air Video, ABC player, and Videos installed through iTunes play on both screens.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
