A friend of mine (GC) sent his and his family passports to DC embassy and they sent his wife's and one kids passports back to him and sent the remaining 2 passports to some one else in california. Fortunatly the person who received the passport was a nice guy and he called my friend and sent back the passports.
Bottom line is if you are in the tri city area (within a 100 miles of DC) its is better to go in person to the embassy to submit and pick up passport. Atleast you have peace of mind. For those who live far off there is no option but to post

Your approval gives us hope in a way that USCIS is approving I-485 cases even though the PD is not current. Am I right?
You must be right ... I was not anticipating this turn of events whatsoever as I knew what the current PD is in the September Visa Bulletin but maybe they assign me a visa number when they got my application in June.... who knows...

I think people should refrain from making congressional enquiries just to get a status update on their case. It should be used only under special circumstances, RFE, rejection, etc.
If everyone starts doing this, these congressional offices will just not entertain our genuine requests anymore.
If you really need to check just the status, take an Infopass.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Dude. I am in a rejection situation (of I485) here and had opened an MTR in December' 08, haven't heard since them from USCIS.

You are required to send a notice to your lawyer letting him know that you no longer require his/her service. Also notify USCIS in writing that your lawyer does not represent you anymore and send correspondence to you directly. If any USCIS notice addressed to you was transmitted to your former counsel, it should be available to you from counsel. You may wish to request forwarding of all post-representation correspondence that arrived after representation ceased. Although that lawyer may have no obligation to perform any services for you, the office should not impede your ability to answer USCIS requests. You should call the service center and request a copy of any correspondence that was sent to your lawyer until the lawyer sends a notice to USCIS letting them know that he no longer represents your case or until another lawyer files a G-28 for you.

Not sure if i have time to do an entry, but i'll try. One question though. Is external actionscript classes ok, or does it all have to be done on the timeline? Obviously i am referring to external actionscript classes that we wrote ourselves, not libraries/engines or other peoples' work.

Could you please suggest some other ways to take care of the 3 years pending I-140. i know premium process is one way to go for it & make INS pick the case. But is there any other way?

If EB-3 I-140 case was filed prior to December 31, 2008, AILA attorneys can submit an inquiry to this specific e-mail address provided by the USCIS. This is available only if the case is filed at the Texas Service Center.
So if your case falls under this category please request your attorney to send an e-mail inquiry to this streamline e-mail address and make an inquiry.

Hi,
I got RFE as PAchai_Attai, the difference is he got NOID.
My attorney has submitted evidences a week ago, still now no updates on my 485.
I have not got tracking # from attorney, he sent email that he submitted evidences. He said he can not check which is my track # used to my case in his office.
He said I have to wait long time to see updates on my case, becuase USCIS is receiving applications in flood.
These Evidences supposed to received by USCIS before Aug 13th. My case is at NSC.
I am in confusion that how to deal this.
Please advise.
